KuCoin API

Create an API on KuCoin to automatically upload your transactions from KuCoin to Waltio

Updated over a week ago

Hi there ๐Ÿ‘‹

KuCoin provides API functions for users, and the creation processes are as follows:

Kucoin Futures APIs are not the same as Kucoin APIs. If you have only traded in Futures, please go to this tutorial.

๐Ÿ’ก PLEASE NOTE: Kucoin now limits access to your transaction history to 1 year only.
In other words, only transactions carried out during the year preceding the creation of the API will be recovered.

If you have made transactions from more than a year ago, you will need to add these missing transactions via KuCoin files. We don't have access to it via API.
โ€‹

๐Ÿ‘‰ Example:

You connect to Waltio on 10/12/2023, and you create your Kucoin API the same day.

The API will retrieve all of your transactions from 10/12/2022.

If you carried out operations on a date before 10/12/2022, you will need to add them via KuCoin files.

Transactions after 10/12/2023 will sync automatically.

Step 1: Please log in to the KuCoin account, open the drop-down menu in the avatar section in the upper right corner and select โ€œAPI Configurationโ€

Step 2: Define a name for your key (like Waltio key, for example) and a password (passphrase). Please note that this password is very important. It is recommended to register it correctly. You will need the API password for verification when using the API on Waltio.

Finally, select the correct permissions.

Step 3: Then the security verification will appear. Enter the "trading password", "email verification code" and "Google verification code" or switch to "SMS verification code".

๐Ÿ’ก You will receive a verification email, click on the link. This page will open:

โš ๏ธ Be sure to keep your secret key because it will not be given back to you by Kucoin.

Step 4: Go back to Waltio and enter your API key

๐Ÿ’ก The passphrase is the security phrase you choose when creating the API key.

๐Ÿ’ก Transactions related to Spotlight investments, must be added manually via a file in Waltio's format.

๐Ÿ’ก Synchronization can take anywhere from a few minutes to a few hours. While waiting for us to retrieve your KuCoin deposit and withdrawal transaction history, you can deposit files from other accounts or connect other APIs.

๐Ÿ’ก It is possible to add multiple KuCoin APIs on Waltio

๐Ÿ’ก We support trading via KuCoin Futures and suggest you read this article to add your trades

โš ๏ธ If you delete your keys or change the permissions, it will complicate the analysis.

1 - If you have already deleted your keys then we will not be able to synchronize

automatically. You will have to create a new one.

2 - If you have already modified your keys then we put in "disabled" mode the APIs encountering errors.

3 - If you correct afterwards, you will have to contact the support service via the chatbot at the bottom right of your screen because we perform weekly synchronizations.

4 - The deletion of the keys automatically leads to the loss of all the modifications (recording of labels, prices, etc...) made on the transactions recovered via API.

โš ๏ธ If you add files containing trades read by API, then the relevant trades will be duplicated on Waltio. Our API gives you the choice if you already have KuCoin files in your Waltio account.

It will ask you to choose between two options:

1 - The recovery of all data since the creation of your KuCoin account.

2 - The recovery of all of your data since the date of your last transaction on your Waltio account.

If you have any other questions, do not hesitate to contact us via the chat just at the bottom right of your screen! ๐Ÿ’ฌ
