Liquid - API

Create an API on Liquid to automatically upload your withdrawal transactions and trades from Liquid to Waltio

Updated over a week ago

Hi there 👋

In order to use the API, you need to generate a unique API key pair, using the following tutorial.

⚠️ This API key supports withdrawals and trades but not deposit transactions, so you will need to follow this tutorial to import your deposit transactions.

Step 1: Log in to your Liquid account.

Step 2: Once logged into your account, open the Liquid menu by clicking on your user icon at the top right.

Step 3: Click on “API Token”.

Step 4: Click on “Create API Token”.

Step 5: Select the permissions for the new API and enter a 2FA code, then click “Create API Token”.

💡 Waltio only requires read permissions (“Read”).

Check “Read” for all types of transactions: Accounts; Executions; Orders; Positions; Trading Accounts; Withdrawals.

Step 6: Your API keys (“Token ID” and “Token Secret”) are now created, and are displayed under the “Manage API Tokens” header.

⚠️ The API secret key will no longer be available once you leave the page, so be sure to write or copy it to paste it somewhere.

Step 7: Link your keys to Waltio

Copy and paste your API and secret keys into Waltio

💡 Synchronization can take anywhere from a few minutes to a few hours. While waiting for us to retrieve your Liquid deposit and withdrawal transaction history, you can deposit files from other accounts or connect other APIs.

💡 We only integrate “closed” orders.

⚠️ If you delete your keys or change the permissions, it will complicate the analysis.

1 - If you have already deleted your keys then we will not be able to synchronize

automatically. You will have to create a new one.

2 - If you have already modified your keys then we put in “disabled” mode the APIs encountering errors.

3 - If you correct afterwards, you will have to contact the support service via the chatbot at the bottom right of your screen because we perform weekly synchronizations.

4 - The deletion of the keys automatically leads to the loss of all the modifications (recording of labels, prices, etc...) made on the transactions recovered via API.

⚠️ If you add files containing trades read by API, then the relevant trades will be duplicated on Waltio. Our API gives you the choice if you already have Liquid API files in your Waltio account.

It will ask you to choose between two options:

1 - The recovery of all data since the creation of your Liquid API account.

2 - The recovery of all of your data since the date of your last transaction on your Waltio account.

If you have any other questions, do not hesitate to contact us via the chat just at the bottom right of your screen! 💬
