Hi there 👋

Waltio allows you to report your taxable trades and calculate your tax on digital assets only. We also support leveraged trading.

Waltio only supports the tax regime applicable to digital assets.

Therefore, our tool does not support calculations for other types of investments or products subject to a different tax regime because the rules and tax rates are not the same as for digital assets.

❌ Waltio does not support:

  • Stocks, ETFs, bonds: Taxation of securities = As of 2018, dividends and gains realized on the sale of shares are taxable at the Prélèvement Forfaitaire Unique. Possibility of opting for taxation at the income tax rate (with an allowance of 50 to 85% for securities acquired before 2018).

Declaration to the tax authorities via Form N°2074.

  • Precious metals (gold, platinum, silver): Tax on precious metals = Flat tax of 11% of the price of the good and addition of the CRDS of 0.5%.

Declaration to the tax authorities via Form N°2091-SD.

  • Art objects / jewelry / collectibles: Taxation of precious objects: Exemption up to 5.000€. Beyond this amount: 6% of the price of the object.

Declaration to the tax authorities via Form N°2091-SD.

  • The rental investment: Taxation of property income (unless it is made in cryptocurrency, in which case, see this article).

Two tax regimes exist: the micro property regime and the real regime.

Renting a bare dwelling: indicate the rents you receive in the "land income" category of your tax return, N°2042.

Rental of furnished accommodation: Declaration to the tax authorities via the Form N°2044.

  • Forex: Taxation of securities (except if it is made in cryptocurrency, in which case, see this article). (Foreign Exchange), your broker must send you an IFU (Single tax form) and you must report the amount in your tax return. Thus, determining the amount of gains is much easier than for digital assets (where you have to track each of your transactions).

Declaration to the tax authorities via Form N°2074.
