Coinbase Pro API

Create an API on Coinbase Pro to automatically upload your transactions from Coinbase Pro to Waltio

Updated over a week ago

Hi there 👋

To create a unique API key for your trading account:

Step 1: Select the menu in the upper right corner of the Coinbase Pro dashboard on the website. API key management is not currently supported in the Coinbase Pro mobile app.

Step 2: Select the API link from the menu.

Under Profile Information, select the API Settings tab, then select "+ New API Key".

Step 3: Select your profile and appropriate permissions, create a passphrase, and enter your two-factor authentication code.

Required permissions:

💡 Only the "View" permission is required.

Step 4: Select "Create API Key" to get a unique key. The new API key and its secret key will be displayed on the API settings page.

Step 5: Go back to Waltio and enter your API key

💡 Synchronization can take anywhere from a few minutes to a few hours. While waiting for us to retrieve your Liquid deposit and withdrawal transaction history, you can deposit files from other accounts or connect other APIs.

💡 We only integrate "closed" orders.

⚠️ The following transaction type is not supported by Waltio: Transfer between "internal accounts" (removed to show only cryptocurrency purchases, sales and deposits/withdrawals).

⚠️ If you delete your keys or change the permissions, it will complicate the analysis.

⚠️ If you add files containing trades read by API, then the relevant trades will be duplicated on Waltio. Our API gives you the choice if you already have Coinbase Pro API files in your Waltio account.

This one will ask you to choose between two options:

1 - If you have already deleted your keys then we will not be able to synchronize

automatically. You will have to create a new one.

2 - If you have already modified your keys then we put in "disabled" mode the APIs encountering errors.

3 - If you correct afterwards, you will have to contact the support service via the chatbot at the bottom right of your screen because we perform weekly synchronizations.

4 - The deletion of the keys automatically leads to the loss of all the modifications (recording of labels, prices, etc...) made on the transactions recovered via API.

It will ask you to choose between two options:

1 - The recovery of all data since the creation of your Coinbase Pro API account.

2 - The recovery of all of your data since the date of your last transaction on your Waltio account.

If you have any other questions, do not hesitate to contact us via the chat just at the bottom right of your screen! 💬
